"There are Giants in the Sky!"

After much deliberation, we have purchased the rights to "Giants in the Sky", a delightful and extremely relevant musical for young performers. This will be staged during the week of 29 September to 4 October 2025 - and in a whole different style for the Rother Swain Drama Studio.

Our big concern has been the security and safety of our children, and we have given all options deep and careful consideration. The end result is : A BIG TENT! Yes! An adventure production in our beautiful grounds at the Isithatha Theatre (our usual rehearsal space), where we can safely keep all our children enclosed, with our security company literally across the road (Citywide).

We will use the theatre as our dressing room area and are excitedly planning how we will adapt the outdoor space into our performance arena.

The show is fun, funky and so THIS century! This is why we love it so, and the children will too.

More news to follow soon re auditions but rest assured .... there is space for everyone to be a part of the fun, and the show is a fabulous ensemble piece. We are very excited!

We are also very grateful that we paid the royalties/rights over at the end of last term when the rand had a bit more value. Shooo!

We are back in the classroom this week and polishing those performance skills to get everyone up to speed.

The mid-year Trinity Exam session has been postponed until the end of October, so should anyone wish to do an end of year entry, there is an opportunity now. Pop us a message.

Try and support "Hamlet" at Pearson High School. Linda-Louise is working hard on an audience friendly/interactive version that will make studying Shakespeare a little less daunting. We will share details of bookings soon!
