About Us

Welcome to the Rother Swain Drama Studio, a collaborative venture founded in 1991 by Sharon Rother and Linda-Louise Swain. We offer a diverse range of classes across various schools, including Clarendon Park Primary School, Pearson High School, PE Montessori School, and our "home" studios in Walmer.

The studio's comprehensive curriculum covers Speech and Drama, Musical Theatre, and Performance Arts, and even offers tuition in Subject Drama for learners at schools without Dramatic Arts as a subject, based on demand.

The philosophy at Rother Swain Drama Studio centers around "Love the Art in Yourself, not Yourself in the Art" (Stanislavski), promoting a balanced and holistic approach to Performance Arts. While examinations and skills development are essential, our main focus is on nurturing individual growth and self-expression. Regardless of future career paths, the confidence gained through drama and the performing arts proves invaluable, imparting essential life skills to all learners involved in our productions.
