Almost there!

This newsletter affects parents of the Casts of The Wizard of Oz from the Rother Swain Drama Studio.

We are just short of TWO WEEKS away from moving into the Little Theatre and we are very happy with the progress of the show to date. Costumes are being finalised, make up designs worked on, budgets strained and program arrangements underway. We have microphone plots sorted, long shopping lists that include batteries galore for the microphones and transpore to tape them onto faces! The list is definitely getting shorter, but not short enough at this point.

Thank you to Grant Brown for the supply of boxes to sort and store our costumes! This is going to make our lives a lot easier.

We will be communicating about when to bring basic black outfits, shoes etc.. to the theatre, but in the meantime, ensure that everything is clearly marked please.

Ticket sales are going well, but we would appreciate your sharing posts and posters on your social media or on your whatsap or email contacts.

We are currently arranging to provide tickets for children's homes. Should you wish to sponsor tickets, your donation can go to the studio account that you paid your participation fee into, with a reference of Name and ticket sponsor. We would like to provide tickets for as many children's homes as possible. Thank you to the sponsors who have donated so far. This is so appreciated! Gary Cooper TV Productions will record the show for home viewing. He will put both teams on one link as several students are in both teams. The cost is R120. These orders will be run by Gary and on hinoon@netactive.co.za. Please write WIZARD OF OZ VIDEO ORDER in the subject heading of your email. Thank you! Please deal with him directly. You may order now. Closing date for orders will be 30 September 2023. Payments must accompany the order. Gary will provide bank details with the order.
