Term 2 Update

Term 2 is up and running despite the disruption of the public holidays! As you can see, I am catching up on admin.

SECURITY

We recently experienced two unwelcome visitors at the studio. Fortunately, my son, who was visiting at the time, returned from his run as the two men entered the property and this scared them off.

We then discovered that this syndicate were targeting ballet studios and similar spaces and security footage at a target area revealed the source of their "hired" car due to excellent camera installations. The car, a white Toyota urban cruiser was traced to a local car rental company. There was no back number plate, but the cameras managed to capture the front number plate. All local groups on WhatsApp and social media were informed of the incident, and other incidents at other venues, and pictures of the vehicle and suspects have been widely circulated. So, they are on everyone's radar.

As far as the studio is concerned, the gate will remain closed during classes, a panic button has been installed in the studio, and we are currently arranging a gate camera and intercom that will be operated from the studio. We take your children's safety seriously. I am able to see children arrive from the studio door/windows and will let them in.

CLASSES

Rachel Brown is currently taking Linda-Louise's Clarendon classes. I am providing her with lesson plans and guidance and will keep involved in the progress of the class. Kerry Allen is now assisting at Pearson High School and Clarendon as well and until we have more information about Linda's health, we will continue like this.

Fees for Linda's classes are to be paid into the Rother Swain Studio Bank Account as I will be invoicing and administering this on her behalf. Please email sharon.rother@gmail,com for bank details. However, invoices are forthcoming and account details will be reflected on these.

STUDIO PRODUCTION

I am currently exploring suitable venues for a studio production as I hope to do a show later this year. More news to follow.

TRINITY COLLEGE OF LONDON EXAMINATIONS

If you are interested in your child entering these examinations, please refer to "Schedules and Forms". Information re prices appear here. The closing date for entry is 25 June.

Linda's pupils are to enter through me and Kerry and I will handle all Trinity entries at this stage.

Thank you for all your well wishes for my husband's surgery last week. He is doing very well, and the medical team are very happy with the results. We do so appreciate your support.
